Robert J. Burnett’s practice is concentrated in business and commercial litigation, focusing in the construction and oil and gas industries. Robert is a member of the Firm’s Marcellus Shale Practice Group and has represented landowners and gas producers in a wide array of oil and gas matters. Robert has assisted independent gas producers and landowners negotiate new leases and operating agreements. He has also advised clients on lease preservation and maintenance issues. Robert has also advised clients on lease development and production issues, including the impact and effect of delay rental and shut-in royalty clauses, as well as the implied obligations to develop and market oil/gas. Robert has also represented landowners in connection with surface access and pipeline right-of-way issues. Robert is also a member of the Firm’s Design Professional Liability Practice, which focuses on the representation of architects and engineers.
