Carlota, who is fluent in Spanish was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on July 29, 1952. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and the U.S. District Court Western District of Pennsylvania in 1979. She was a partner in Schaffler & Böhm until she joined Houston Harbaugh in 1992.
Carlota started her career as a law clerk to two Bankruptcy Judges and has been in private practice in the bankruptcy area since 1981, she is a Bankruptcy Trustee on the U.S. Trustee’s Panel for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Carlota was named "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer" for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007.
