Joe Bucci represents contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, developers, architects, engineers, sureties, property managers and others engaged in the construction, design, public contracting and/or real estate development industries. The matters he handles encompass commercial, industrial, heavy and highway, marine and public works construction/development projects.
Joe offers his clients a unique perspective on their legal needs by combining his legal training and dispute resolution abilities with his hands-on, in depth experiences in the construction, design, and real estate development industries obtained prior to attaining a juris doctorate degree. Joe was employed as a journeyman steamfitter, an estimator, a project engineer, a construction manager and a design builder prior to becoming an attorney. His practical experiences in and about the construction industry provides him with the technical and practical insights needed to sort out and resolve the legal and technical matters he is confronted with on any given project.
When it is not possible to resolve construction-related controversies through structured negotiations, Joe proceeds with mediation, arbitration and/or litigation. Joe practices in state and federal courts, before administrative boards and in arbitration or mediation proceedings. He has also served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Construction Dispute Resolution Group.
