Michael J. Dempster concentrates his practice in corporate and commercial transactions, including real estate development. Michael represents a wide variety of closely held businesses in such diverse areas as manufacturing, advertising and public relations, product distribution, software applications, and health care providers. Michael has assisted clients in purchasing, financing and selling all types of businesses and frequently provides advice on the tax ramifications for various corporate, partnership and individual business transactions. He regularly represents clients before the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Michael is also an active member of the firm's Estate Planning and Wealth Management group.
Michael has significant experience in commercial and residential real estate development. He was one of the developers of the Jack Nicklaus golf community, Nevillewood, and was responsible for all legal aspects of its development including the organization of The Club at Nevillewood of which he is a founding developer member.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a member of the Tax Department at Touche Ross & Company.
