Gregory A. Harbaugh is a founding member of Houston Harbaugh. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, tax and general corporate matters and estate planning and administration.
In his estate planning practice, Greg works with high-net worth individuals and uses advanced techniques to minimize federal and state death taxes and to transfer wealth in a controlled manner. Greg has been involved in the various aspects of estate planning, such as will development, the creation of family limited partnerships, charitable giving, intentionally defective grantor trusts, family-owned business succession planning and more. Greg is also experienced with the administration of the estate plan, including death tax returns and probate.
Greg’s corporate practice includes structuring business arrangements including mergers and acquisitions, and assisting with succession planning for businesses and healthcare groups.
Greg has also been active in Republican politics and served as the Western Pennsylvania Finance Chairman for State Attorney General Mike Fisher and was the campaign chairman for Allegheny County Chief Executive Officer, Jim Roddey. Greg is a frequent lecturer on tax planning and wealth preservation matters.
Greg has an AV rating, signifying the “highest level of professional excellence” through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating System.
In July 2009, Greg was listed in Pittsburgh Magazine as a Five Star Wealth Manager based on surveys completed by high net worth Pittsburgh residents and financial services industry professionals.
