May 18, 2018 | Houston Harbaugh attorneys Craig M. Brooks, Alan S. Miller, Anthony P. Picadio, andHenry M. Sneath have been selected to the 2018 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list. Firm attorneys Jared N. Leland, Catherine S. Loeffler, R. Brandon McCullough, and Amber L. Reiner Skovdal have been named to the 2018 Pennsylvania Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than five percent of lawyers in the state are selected as “Super Lawyers,” and no more than 2.5 percent are selected to the Rising Stars list.
Brooks has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for the second consecutive year. He is chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor Law practice and represents employers on matters ranging from how to handle employee issues and actions, as well as defending or pursuing claims in court and before government agencies. He also represents individuals, providing advice and counsel in pursuit of claims arising out of their employment.
Miller has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for the eleventh consecutive year, each year since 2008. He concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental law, insurance coverage and bad faith, and commercial litigation. He is chair of the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Law practice as well as the Environmental and Energy Law practice. He has represented business clients, insurance companies and individuals in significant disputes involving insurance coverage, environmental contamination and regulatory compliance, professional errors and omissions of insurance brokers and accountants, and commercial disputes involving trade secrets and contracts.
Picadio also has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for the eleventh consecutive year, each year since 2008. A business litigator and environmental lawyer, he has represented business clients in significant cases presenting issues involving unfair competition, corporate governance, Sherman and Clayton Act violations, breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent conveyance, securities fraud, trademark protection, insurance coverage, construction litigation, legal malpractice, commercial real estate, and contract matters.
Sneath also has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for the eleventh consecutive year, each year since 2008. He is chair of firm’s Intellectual Property Practice and Co-Chair of the Litigation Practice. A trial attorney, he focuses on complex business litigation, intellectual property, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, Defend Trade Secrets Act, products and pharmaceutical liability, toxic torts, insurance coverage and bad faith, energy, catastrophic injury and tort litigation matters.
Leland has been selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list in 2008, 2013, and again in 2018. He concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, and strategic business counsel.
Loeffler has been selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list for the first time. She concentrates her practice in numerous areas of complex civil litigation, including employment law, products liability, toxic and environmental torts, insurance bad faith, collection and creditor rights, construction litigation, eminent domain, and other commercial litigation defense.
McCullough has been selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list for the sixth consecutive since 2013. He concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, complex commercial and business litigation, and appellate litigation.
Reiner Skovdal has been selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list for the second consecutive year. She has handled diverse matters involving insurance and bad faith, products liability defense, employment disputes, shareholder disputes, trade secret disputes, intellectual property, defense involving catastrophic accident matters, environmental compliance issues, and breach of contract and negligence disputes.
