An attorney in the firm’s Business Law Group, Jaclyn concentrates her practice in the areas of general business law, corporate governance, commercial and banking transactions, and business planning.
Jaclyn serves as outside general counsel to businesses in various stages of their lifecycles ranging from single owner arts organizations to fitness center start-ups, from mid-level real estate developers to multi-national third generation family manufacturing businesses. Jaclyn also serves as a business mentor and counselor for local non-profits in Western Pennsylvania.
Jaclyn’s experience includes entity selection and formation and restructuring, and dissolution, along with reviewing and drafting various other corporate documents including operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, non-disclosure agreements, employment agreements, settlement and release agreements, promissory notes and security agreements. Jaclyn also works with businesses on daily operational issues such as formulating terms and conditions included on purchase orders, negotiating repayment agreements, and drafting internal corporate internet and social media privacy policies.
Prior to receiving her J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, Jaclyn was an artist and worked as a therapist with children coping with developmental disabilities. Jaclyn’s undergraduate education in sculpture and subsequent experience as a “starving artist” continues to help her assist her creative clients by navigating the legal side of the arts as a counselor and business mentor.
